ANNIE TAYLOR

Hi! Iā€™m Annie Taylor. I am an OG Franklin, Tennesseean, and even still, it is my favorite place in the world. I have been active since a young age. I started dance at age three and continued for 16 years. I danced competitively at DC Dance Factory, and currently teach there. I grew my knowledge through dance conventions, summer programs, and competitions. I had the opportunity to take ballet in New York City and trained intensely in Pilates and body placement.

The studio I trained at and competed with heavily focused in contemporary, lyrical, hiphop, and jazz. I also had the opportunity to explore a wide range of dance through taking musical theatre, salsa, partnering, tap, and many other types of dance. After my dance career it was difficult to find a work out that not only challenged my body, but also fulfilled me the way that dance did.

After finding Lagree I knew it was the work out for me. The high intensity and low impact nature of this method is restorative to the body, and challenges me in more ways than one. I love going into the studio knowing that I get 50 minutes to clear my head of the day and focus on what is in front of me. Getting trained in Lagree was a no brainer. I love getting to share this method with others, even having the chance to specifically teach a class to dancers, through the studio. My hope is that you would leave my classes feeling challenged, encouraged, and more confident in yourself and your strength.
