Member Motivation today comes from our very own Paige MacDonald!! Paige is giving insight on being postpartum while staying active at TrueForm Fitness!
“I wanted to try TrueForm because I wanted a workout that was quick and effective, yet not hard on my body. At first I was intimidated to try Lagree after giving birth, but all the instructors were so encouraging and helpful in easing me back into working out through modifications during the workout!
I feel like pushing myself to new limits while being postpartum has been a great challenge, but the mental battle has been the best to overcome. I’m forced to truly slow down and focus on my breathing during each class, which is hard and so rewarding.
Each move in Lagree has a modification, and being postpartum, I have had to use the modifications as my best friends. I knew I needed to be gentle and patient with myself after giving birth. Because the instructors took the time to explain the modifications to me, I knew I was getting the same benefit as if I were in the regular moves. The modifications are meant to help you and be what’s best for your body in whatever season you’re in!
Coming to TrueForm postpartum has 100% helped me become stronger. Not only am I stronger, but I am much more confident in my body. Lagree is designed to be effective no matter what stage of life you’re in — pregnancy, postpartum, injury, etc. There are modifications for everything and the mental benefits you get from coming to TrueForm are just as amazing as the physical benefits!!”
